The Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a standardized computer-based English Proficiency Test designed for a non-English Speaking individual for their higher education overseas. Conducted and administered by Pearon, it is widely and equally accepted by all institutes across Australia, the UK, the USA, and Canada, just like IELTS. The test is designed in a way that it assesses your ability in the four different skills; Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking through an integrated test pattern.

PTE is a fully automated test and its scoring system is also fully automated which ensures a consistent result. This scoring system deducts the human bias and the turn-around time and provides quick results within 48 hours.

As mentioned earlier, the GRE is divided into three areas; each component holds a specific time limit.

• Speaking & Writing – These modules are designed to assess both oral and written communication skills, through different tasks such as describing an image, re-tell lecture, repeat sentences, etc that run for up to 77 to 93 minutes.

• Reading – This module is designed to assess the ability to understand the written text and comprehend academic vocabulary and it runs for up to 32 to 40 minutes.

• Listening – This module is designed to assess the ability to understand English in academics, including the lectures and conversation, and it runs for up to 45 to 57 minutes.

PTE Score is assessed on a scale of 10 - 90 wherein grammar, oral fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, and written disclosure skills are enabled.
